Revocation of life and pension insurances

Life and pension insurance contracts concluded before December 31st, 2007 can still be reversed by objectionif the cancellation policy was either not issued or if it was incorrect. The German Federal Court of Justice (BGH) confirmed the possibility of revocation in its current case-law with reference to a judgment of the European Court of Justice (EuGH). Therefore the insurance is obliged to return the paid premiums as well as the interest rate related to these payments, after a revocation.
